Parliamentary committee approves nine budgets
KUWAIT: The parliamentary budgets and final accounts committee approved on Sunday all budgets listed on the agenda except budgets of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the state budget. Chairman of the Committee MP Adnan Sayed Abdul Samad told reporters after the meeting that the committee has completed and adopted 10 budgets in a single law except the budget of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS), noting that non-approval of PAYS' budget has led to disagreement with the unified law, which includes all attached budgets. He explained that this case is a precedent for the national Assembly where nine budgets get an approval and one budget is refused.
