KD 500 wage minimum salary rule to split families in Kuwait
Kuwait: In an attempt to restructure the demographics of the country, the Ministry of Interior is reportedly drafting a law to increase the minimum wage required for non-Kuwaiti residents to sponsor their spouses and family by 100 percent. An official at the Ministry of Interior said that the law will take several months to be finalized; noting that it cannot be applied during the current situation. The Ministry of Interior will work closely with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MSAL) in order to finalize this law.
