KUWAIT: Members of an Iraqi parliamentary bloc have begun collecting signatures from their fellow lawmakers to file an international lawsuit against the Kuwait government, demanding compensation for the relatives of those killed in a terrorist attack carried out in Neenawa province in 2008 by Kuwaiti citizen and former Guantanamo Bay inmate Abdullah Al-Ajmi, according to a bloc member. Iraqi MP Othman Al-Juhaishi, a member of the Al-Iraqia bloc leading the push for legal action said that Kuwait has particular responsibility to offer compensation for the devastation wrought by Al-Ajmi's act, especially after the Kuwaiti government agreed to place him under strict supervision on his return from the notorious prison as a condition of his release.
