KUWAIT: Al-Joan International Holdings held a press conference yesterday to mark the launch of its 'Alluxmid' project, which will see world-renowned German medical care and training coming to Kuwait. The project, the first to be conducted through one of the firm's subsidiaries, promises to offer effective first class medical treatment and help to improve the performance of Kuwait's public health sector. Speaking at the event, Abdul Samad Hajji, the chairman of Al-Joan's board of directors, stressed that the company has been paying close attention to its expansion in the domestic sector, with 2010 being extremely busy and filled with numerous projects, including a feasibility study into the construction of specialist medical centers through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative.
